Promise church had its start in 2021 when the Tapia family moved to Minneapolis. Their purpose was to start a new Christian church and begin pastoral ministry in the Twin Cities.
Meet the Tapias
Greetings! We are the Tapia family—Jacob, Christina, Landen, Alayna, and Anyssa. Our family has been doing ministry in the Metro area since 2021. We’re not perfect but we are enjoying the journey of growing in Christ together. We are a homeschool family and are passionate about family and friendships. Find us at a local park, a coffee shop, or on Sundays at the community center where we have our worship events. We would love to meet you and become a part of your faith journey!
Pastor Jacob & Christina
Jacob is a fifth-generation Minnesotan and was raised in Mankato. After receiving a BA in Theology in 2004, he began full-time ministry and has served in local, district, and national positions. He later completed his MBA in General Business through Lindenwood University. Jacob is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.
Jacob is an entrepreneur and business owner. He currently works as a Hospice Chaplain. Jacob enjoys playing golf and fishing. He is an avid reader and can often be found at a coffee shop around Minneapolis studying or having a conversation with a friend.
Christina is a stay-at-home mom who hails from Central Indiana. She received her associates degree in 2002 from Indiana Bible College. Her and Jacob were married in 2006 and have served together in full-time ministry from day one. Christina is an educator and has a gift for hospitality and working with children.
